Frequently Asked Question on Biocera Products:

1. Biocera-A

1) Is this mixed with other materials in the manufacturing process?
Answer: Biocera A is composed of ca-phosphate, a series of HAP (hydroxyapatite), which is added with alumina, silica as well as silver Ag ions which is a non-toxic antibiotic agent. Proved to have the superior safety feature Biocera A is known for its antibiotic and bactericidal ability and durability.

2. Biocera-T

1) What is the difference between Biocera-T and Biocera-A? Both are said to be same in having antibacterial feature?
Answer:  Though having the similar function, Biocera-T works different. As a semiconducting material,  Biocera-T dissolves hazardous organic compounds like volatile organic compound (VOC). This photocatalyst acts as an oxidizing agent when activated by ultraviolet ray, especially the sunlight.

For more information:
When a photo-catalyst titanium dioxide (TiO2) captures ultraviolet light (from UV-A to UV-B widely and 350~380 nano meter is the most efficient range of UV) it forms activated oxygen from water or oxygen in the air. This process is similar to photosynthesis, in which chlorophyll captures sunlight to turn water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and glucose. The activated oxygen is strong enough to oxidize and decompose organic materials or smelling gas, and kill bacteria. Our photo-catalystic titanium dioxide is capable of decomposing various ingredients

2) What does it mean with “super-hydrophilic effect”?
Answer: Having super hydrophile property means that when glass is coated with photo-catalyst, surface barrier flattens, which prevents the water droplets to be formed.

3) When it is used at a hotel or office, how is the application?
Answer: When this photo-catalyst is coated in the walls of a hospital, hotel or office, it has antibacterial and deodorizing effect.

3. Biocera-TO

1) What exactly is Negative Ion Bio ceramic?
Answer: The fresh negative atomic element that can be felt when in the forest, waterfall or water spring is the negative ion. Loss of an electron makes an atom a positive ion, while addition of electron makes it a negative ion. When a person drinks negative ion, this can accelerate the metabolism of cells, elevates vitality, and purifies blood. Having the effects of tranquilizing nerves, revitalizing our body and increasing appetite, negative ion is even called as the “air vitamin.”

2) What is emission of negative ion and Far Infrared Rays?
Answer: Biocera-TO is composed of inorganic ceramic and photo-catalyst. This product emits far-infrared ray and negative ion, which are good to the human body. It has the function of deodorization, self-purification, blood circulation promotion, biological activation and pain relief. Its far-infrared ray and negative ion is emitted with fine vibration of piezo electric unlike other negative ion products. This makes the environment fresher by eliminating the noxiousness of harmful electric waves.

3) Is Biocera-T, a mixture of Biocera-A and Biocera-T?
Answer: All of the mentioned products—Biocera-A and Biocera-T, Biocera-TO—have different manufacturing process as well as raw material. So the answer is no, it is not the combination of the two.

4) How does this powdery product, the Biocera-TO, work to promote metabolism and blood circulation?
Answer: Far Infrared Rays passes fast just as the speed of a light. When it is absorbed in a material, the energy turns into heat, thereby having the effect of heating a part of the subject, uniform heating, or enabling the reduction of heating time and energy. As a result, this is good for nurturing of both animals and plants.

4. Biocera Ceramic ball

1) When you say “emit,” it means “to give,” right? If so, why do we need negative ion? What is negative ion anyway?
Answer: In ceramics, “emit” does not mean the release of light, but it refers to the ion with negative electric charge.

For more information:

2) Is hexagonal water means giving oxygen into the water? How can we test the existence of the oxygen in the water?
Answer: Hexagonal water, as its name implies, has the cluster of six molecules in a hexagonal shape. For the testing, there is a special device which measures the amount of dissolved oxygen in water.

3) What is FIR? Why do we need it?
Answer: When Far Infrared Rays has good emissivity, it vibrates both molecules and atoms as the result of resonance effect, thereby helping the excretion of hazardous toxic material in the body.

5. Biocera Antioxidant Alkaline Filter

What does it mean by “small water cluster” and “eruptions of minerals”? What do you mean by ORP?
Answer: When ceramic ball is in contact with water, minerals such as Calcium and Magnesium are eluted, transforming the pH of water into alkaline. ORP is a measure of the tendency of chemical species to acquire electrons (oxidizers) and thereby be reduced (reducers). Simply, I would say ORP is a kind of index showing the level of oxidation power or reduction power. If reduction (antioxidant) power is high, then it shows the lower (negative) power. On the other hand, if the oxidation power is high, then it shows higher (positive) value. ORP is usually measured in millivolts (mV).

More information:
Most water has positive ORP, except antioxidant alkaline water. With the ORP level being negative, it gives away extra electrons to neutralize the active oxygen (also known as free radicals) in our body.  How do we measure ORP? We use the ORP meter. Here we have measured and compared the ORP of antioxidant alkaline water with that of R/O water. With several measurements, we found out that the ORP level of R/O purified water ranged from +190 to +300 mV, while ORP of antioxidant alkaline water ranged from -200 to -300 mV. (From Biocera Weekly Health Newsletter, Vol. 4)

6. BCW-500

1) Is Antioxidant Alkaline Water Filter the same with BCW-500, except for the fact that BCW-500 is ready to use?
Answer:  BCW-500 is a one-touch type filter with four-step filtration system. The four filters are the following. First, filter sediment and carbon block filter, UF filter, Antioxidant Alkaline Ceramic Filter and Post-Carbon Filter.

For more information:
1. Filter Sediment + Carbon Block Filter: Sediment filter maximizes the water purifying at the initial stage by removing various pollutants and micro-organic matters, oxidized substances such as rust, dirt, sand as small as microns. This filter makes closer to the natural status by absorbing and removing harmful organic chemicals.
2. UF Filter: UF filter has 0.01~0.001 size micro-hole and the hole filter out impurities or dust particles in water and passes clean water with minerals.
3. Antioxidant Alkaline Ceramic Filter: Alkaline Ceramic Filter makes small-cluster alkaline water by this antioxidant effect to remove active oxygen (free radical) like vitamin C and supply useful minerals to help our body metabolism.
4. Post-Carbon filter: This filter removes any residual and bad smells, continuously at the last stage and it can maintain fresh water by far infrared ray ceramic ball.

2) Can we use this machine as commercial use?
Answer: BCW-500 is made for the home usage. Thus, it may have less water capacity to be used with the commercial purpose.

7. Biocera A.A Water Jug

1) What is the difference between Biocera AA Water Jug and BCW-500?
Answer: AA Water Jug is a portable water filter, which makes water alkaline. BCW, on the other hand, is a one-touch type filter with four-step filtration system.

2) What the difference with Biocera AA Water Stick?
Answer: Biocera AA Water Stick does not have the filtering system as it is with the AA Water Jug. It is a portable stick which makes water antioxidant and alkaline mineral.

3) What is active oxygen? Why is not good?
Answer: Active oxygen, also known as free radicals. Active oxygen is formed in the process of metabolism. This active oxygen is the cause of many diseases such as cancer since it attacks the membrane of a cell, which is the basic unit of our body. It makes the original function of cell loss and disturbs the revival of cell by attacking the DNA in the cell. This is the cause of all kinds of diseases by breaking the signal delivery system of our bodies or by decreasing our immunity.

8. Biocera Atozero Happy Showerhead

How is the anti-aging works?
Answer: When we use water that is chlorine-free when having a bath, it improves moisturizing effect and thus it is gives anti-aging effect in the long term. Biocera Atozero Happy Showerhead is known to remove chlorine in the water.

9. Biocera A.A Water Stick

How does it work when you said it dissolves tea and coffee? Do you mean it dissolves in the bottle or in our body?
Answer: Both. When we use Antioxidant Alkaline Water products such as the Stick, the water molecules become smaller. This makes tea or coffee to be easily dissolved in the water. Similarly, when we drink tea or coffee in water with micro-clustered molecules, it can be easily absorbed in the body as well. Additionally, it not only gives better water taste but more minerals which our body needs.

Winter Alert! Solutions to Overcome "Super Dry" Skin Aging

How Do We Prevent Skin from  Drying/Aging?   The core of " wintertime skincare "  is to prevent the main cause for aging-dryness. One of the ways to prevent skin from drying is to use exfoliating gel, peeling cream or scrub to remove the "dead skin cells" on the skin surface. It is important to exfoliate because when dead skin cells stay and are accumulated on the skin surface, it first hinders perspirations, which is the process of eliminating/excreting wastes from the body. Then this leads into skin troubles. This is why many women exfoliate once or twice a week to maintain clear, healthy skin. However,  one should also remember that excessive exfoliation can irritate the ski n. This is because in case of too much exfoliation, newly created cells can be as well removed with dead cells, thereby removing the protective shield or layer of skin. Thus, one must provide adequate amount of moisture and nutrients. Also, during winter, one experiences the reducti
